Carved by Peter Calvesbert Series - Small Treasure Jest Release Date - June 1997 Availablity - Retired April 1999 Edition Size - 12851 Dimensions - 2.13 x 2.09 x 2.2 inches Reference - TJPL (Evej0010) Manufactured in the UK by Harmony Kingdom
Peter inscribed “Platypus” to help identify this furry-bodied mammal with webbed feet and poisonous spur claws. Human activity is again evidenced by the recurring tin can motif. The mouse is accompanied by a computer “mouse” to celebrate the purchase of Peter’s first computer. Inside the box are 3 platypus eggs. The inscription “Where’s Bob?” is a friendly reference to HK’s Bob McKinlay, a man so busy and on the move, one is never quite sure where to find him. At the April 1998 ICE Show held in Edison, New Jersey, one hundred collectors were invited to paint their own Version during the first HK painting seminar. Hallmarks include ©, diamond, HBC logo, ed.#, and Pc.
Although Harmony Kingdom is still manufactured at Wimberley Mills near Stroud in Gloucestershire, since Martin Perry, the founder retired in August 2005, marketing and shipping of the pieces is done from the USA office at Harmony Ball Company in Ohio. This means that we have to consolidate our orders before having them shipped to us. We are currently taking deliveries about every 6 weeks and so there may be a delay with your order if the piece is not already in stock. We will advise by email. Hope this doesn't cause a problem.
