A beautiful box figurine emerges. Peter’s recent Small Treasure Jest introduction faithfully depicts the largest of living land mammals, except that its rather monotonous hide is enhanced with black and white stripings.
Of course, there’s a mischievous monkey involved as well as a political subtext. While this 1000 piece fixed edition isn’t quite as rare as a striped elephant in the wild, when it arrives at retailers April 2006, you should observe it while you can.
Peter’s box figurine portrays an elephant that has been mysteriously painted to look like a zebra. Unknown to the elephant, two guilty chimps are hiding under his belly. On this Small Treasure Jest, Peter’s signature mouse has decided to take a year out to see the world. His replacement is a rattlesnake. The interior portrays another snake. This is to mark the momentous event of the change of hidden animal. Behind one of the elephant’s ears is the name D. Davis (David Davis) who is vying to become the next leader of Britain’s Conservative party, an apt inscription on an elephant.
Although Harmony Kingdom is still manufactured at Wimberley Mills near Stroud in Gloucestershire, since Martin Perry, the founder retired in August 2005, marketing and shipping of the pieces is done from the USA office at Harmony Ball Company in Ohio. This means that we have to consolidate our orders before having them shipped to us. We are currently taking deliveries about every 6 weeks and so there may be a delay with your order if the piece is not already in stock. We will advise by email. Hope this doesn't cause a problem.
