Peter’s first ever cobra box figurine is elegant and deadly, or is it? Well yes, it’s most definitely lovely to look at. But this venomous snake is more of a socialite than a stinger.

Within the woven basket are a group of little creatures, more than happy to share some space with their cobra companion. This 1000 piece fixed edition will be with us in May 2006 and shows that peace and harmony are absolutely elegant.

The cobra is a venomous snake, whose elegant form is matched only by its deadly bite. Peter’s cobra box figurine portrays a majestic yet gentle cobra, surrounded by creature companions that are not the least bit afraid. The inscription “Bullets” and the rabbit tucked into the basket pay homage to Peter’s son’s rabbit, who recently died. “R.P.” references Richard Prior, a favorite comedian of Peter’s, who also passed away during the carving of this box figurine. Opening the lid reveals a snake in Groucho Marx disguise. The idea came from a Gary Larson cartoon that Peter remembers reading two decades ago.

Although Harmony Kingdom is still manufactured at Wimberley Mills near Stroud in Gloucestershire, since Martin Perry, the founder retired in August 2005, marketing and shipping of the pieces is done from the USA office at Harmony Ball Company in Ohio. This means that we have to consolidate our orders before having them shipped to us. We are currently taking deliveries about every 6 weeks and so there may be a delay with your order if the piece is not already in stock. We will advise by email. Hope this doesn't cause a problem.
